Eph 2:10

There are 4 major life questions embedded in this scripture.

  1. Whose you are?
  2. Who you are?
  3. Where you are?
  4. What you are?

Whose you are?

Gen 1:26 You are God’s, you belong to God.

1 Cor 6:20 When Adam sinned he traded the authority was traded and lost, BUT Jesus came and bought you back with a high price to restore you back to God.

Who you are?

You am God’s workmanship. Workmanship means the art or skill or a workman. This should tell you that you are God’s image and skill, a product of God’s thought and imagination. Created means ‘’not made by ordinary process’’, so therefore you are significant.

 Where you are?

Eph 2:5-7; Rom 8:35-39 You have been created IN Christ Jesus. As a believer, you carry God’s DNA.

 What you are?

You have been created unto good works. Before God created you He had prepared good works that you should work in. Some people define themselves by what they are, BUT the important this is for you to understand who you are first, which is ‘I am a child of God’. Good works means declaring the good news of Jesus. The Bible points to Jesus, therefore if you truly read and do all that the Bible teaches, then your life should reflect (point) to Jesus; this is the good works that you have been created for (God’s assignment on earth).

Acts 10:38

38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

John 14:12 Jesus says you will do greater good works than Him if you truly believe in Him.

1 peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.

You have been called to show forth God’s praises through your good works. This includes telling other people about God, being a witness. God’s favour distinguishes you to be a witness of God’s goodness to others. Favour positions you for a divine assignment.

John 7:38 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.

You have been created for such a time as this to reach out to others, welcoming as many to Christ. You have all it takes to advance God’s kingdom. Share your story with others.
