Don’t trust yourself, trust Christ!

Est. 2:1-17

Everyone of us has a Vashti and an Esther nature within us.

Heb 10:9

God takes away the first that He may establish the second. Likewise, He takes away the Adamic nature that He might become born again and establish Christ within you. Similarly law was removed and grace was established.

Est 2:1

King Ahasuerus is a typology of God the Father. The wrath of the King subsided, similarly God does not stay angry with the sinner forever. Though His wrath had subsided, he could not go back on his word because it is a trust issue. God is a perfect King and He is trustworthy. The King sought a Queen that he could trust as Vashti could no longer be trusted. Likewise, God is seeking people He can trust.

Man has an Adamic nature that God cannot trust. Every man is as limited as you are Adamic prone. God wants to entrust destiny with you. Your children, ministry, career, etc is a trust and God seeks people that He can fulfil His desire.

Est 3:2-3, 13

These virgins were not defiled by men but by self. Your assignment is not about your own desire but by the Kings desire and if you are blinded by what you desire, you will lose your relevance in your place of assignment. God calls you so that your life might please Him and as you please Him, you will find fulfilment in yourself.

Psa 37:4

As you delight yourself in God, He will give your heart what He desires. God seeks people whose motives He can trust. It was “self” that caused Vashti her relevance. Vashti forgot that she was there at the King’s honour. This story is a typology of Christ, Israel and the Church. Vashti is a typology of our Adamic nature and Israel. Esther is a typology of Christ the servant and the Church whose nature is conformed to that of Christ the servant.

The enemy always comes on the backdrop of “self”. There is always only God’s way or “my” way (self).

Matt 16:23

When a person is full of self/personal agenda, God will never trust such a person. Everything you do must be for the audience of one, God. As you please God, He will cause you to find favour in the sight of God and men.

Life must be lived for the audience of one - God. It must be for the pleasure of God alone and always. As long as it pleases God, it will produce fruit.

Est 1:4; Psa 8:3-4; Acts 10:38

Unlike King Ahasuerus, God is not boastful and sought loyalty, we discover how great He is. Anyone who tries to buy your loyalty and trust is not a good company.

A Eunuch is someone who is castrated, has no spouse. Everything about the Eunuch is full service to the King. The Eunuch is a typology of the Holy Spirit. His work was to prepare, guide and conform the virgins to the nature of a worthy Queen for the King. Hegai, the Eunuch was the King’s helper, they know the true nature and the mind of the King.

Est 2:8; Eph 2:10; Psa 105:17; 1 John 3:8b

Everyone is created and separated for the Kingdom agenda. Esther was taken (she did not apply for the pagent). The path of destiny is the path that would take you and snatch you against your will for a divine agenda.

How do you respond when life takes you against your will?

1 Thess 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing and give thanks for this is God’s will for you.

Rejoicing must come before prayer becomes effective. Angels strengthen you by bringing you a word.

Jer 15:15-16; Isa 12:3

When you go to God in prayer with a heavy heart, you are praying to be strengthened. Keep praying, then you would find a word that comes to strengthen you, keep praying as you would come into rejoicing that delivers the breakthrough.

Est 2:8-9

Esther was taken yet she processed the situation in prayer and then she pleased Eunuch, Hegai and found favour. She found favour through her meeting the criteria (her countenance) as she pleased Hegai.

The Holy Spirit knows the criteria as you allow Him lead you, please Him and you would find favour. God will always give you a test that you are suited for. You must act outside of yourself to fulfil the criteria. Your conduct on the test has to be based on what pleases Him (God) and blesses the Kingdom and people around you. It is not about you pleasing yourself but pleasing God and blessing others.

The moment Hegai saw the qualities (trustworthy and good conduct) in Esther, he favoured her and supplied her with all she needed and also gave her 7-maidservants to perfect her. This is favour; it brings clarity, understanding, help etc because the Holy Spirit sees that He can trust you for the position of the place of assignment.

John 16:13-14

Hegai gave Esther all the secret preparations and tips that would position Esther to become Queen, pleasing to the King’s desires.

Est 2:12; Eph 4:11-13

The cleansing duration of 1year was the process of renewal to perfect her so that she would come to the stature of a Queen. Similarly the Holy Spirit is equipping us (the Church) so that we can be a fitting representative of Christ on earth.

Let Christ lead you, it is not about you but about Christ leading you. Don’t trust yourself.

Only Esther measured up and she pleased the King. The other virgins were not desirable by the King.

2 Tim 2:20-21

When you are not trusted (full of self) you become a vessel unto dishonour.

Est 2:15; John 16:13-14; Rom 8:14; John 5:19

Esther did not ask for anything but trusted only in that which Hegai had given her. If you are not led by the Spirit, you cannot run with favour.

Esther was led, it is not about what you want but what is required of you by the spirit of God. If you are not led, you cannot advance in God because God seeks those He can trust. Son-ship is about trust.
