Pleasing God

Gen 1:26-31

God created us in His image to carry out His (plan) agenda here on earth.

Why would God put so much premium on man? For relationship.

Due to the fall of man, a separation of man from God became inherent. God then made a redemption plan to restore man back to God. God reconciled man back to Himself to ensure that our relationship with Him is restored.

Psa 8:4-6

Man’s dominion on earth is tied to our stewardship on earth.

Rom 5:4-11

Christ has reconciled us back to God.

How do I experience the love of God?

1 John 2:1-6

Does it come to you naturally (habitually) to develop a relationship with God? God is more interested in the process of our life transformation rather than the meeting of our various needs and wants.

Psa 1:1-6

God longs to constantly be in fellowship with us, mankind. Desire to engage habitually in relationship with God.

Matt 6:25-33

If you seek God’s way of doing things and His righteousness, the things that fill your prayer point (needs and wants) will naturally flow to you. You need to work out your salvation by staying focused on God’s will. Let God’s agenda motivate you rather than your needs.

How do I experience an overflow of God’s love?

1 John 3:10

Phil 4:8-9 Seek God’s will in your thoughts. Make a conscious intentional action to measure every thought in the light of the word of God.

Gal 5:16 Be guided by the spirit of God, habitually walking in the spirit of God.

Prov 19:21; Phil 2:13 Seek God’s will in your every purpose. It is HIM in that works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasures. Accept and focus on God’s agenda for you.

1 Pet 4:8 unselfishly love other believers. Walk in obedience. Ask God for moral courage to take the correct action. Save yourself the delay, heart ache and let go of every offence.

John 13:34-35 Consider others first. Develop a charitable heart towards others especially those less privileged than yourself.
