Self-Examination / Spiritual Checkup

2 Cor 13:5

1 Pet 2:2

Balanced diet is inevitable for growth. Likewise, our spiritual growth as Christians requires to be nurtured accordingly through persistent life of true worship, prayer and studying of God’s word.

As a child of God, there are areas in your life where you need to self-appraise, in line with the word of God, to ensure that you are still in the faith. Regular attendance at church is not a guarantee that one is rooted in the faith.

Conduct a self-examination:

Prayer life

What is your prayer life like? When God is the only option you have, prayer becomes a necessity. Prayer is conversing with God the Father through the Son Jesus by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Rom 8:26

Prayer is a bedrock to working with God, there is no alternative to prayer. Prayer should be your default response instead of the last option.

Matt 6:5; 26:36-46

Luke 18:1-9; Col 4:2; Matt 7:7

Men ought always to pray and not to faint. Persistent prayer yields answer eventually.
