The Place God Blesses

John 17: 1-23; Psa 133:1-3

It is time to maximise the blessing in the Kingdom of God by thinking more corporately than individually. Being blessed is a spiritual reality, being fruitful is a physical manifestation. We need to pay close attention to unity. Desire a united Church.

Jesus prayed for the unity of the church. Prayers revealed in scripture are the pillars and foundation of the church. For example prayer for the unity of the church. As a church we must move from praying from our emotions, to praying the scripture - the will of God.

Anywhere there is unity, progression is inevitable. Unity is fostered when people rally round a purpose beyond self-need. As a church we must have unity of mind and purpose in the will of God.

John 17:2-3

Eternal life is not the afterlife, rather it is the life of God that starts from earth and translates into eternity. Eternal life is life beyond this age on the earth. The quality of the work and life lived on earth will determine your eternal life. Eternal life is known, perceived, recognised. It is the quality of life that you can recognise when it is absent. Eternal life did not originate from man, but it is transferable through men, such that when it is not eternal life, you can tell. The essence of eternal life is that we infuse eternal life wherever we find ourselves. Eternal life is to know God and have experienced Christ. The purpose of the church is to infuse eternal life into everything around you.

Rom 14:17

The Kingdom of God is not in meat and drink but in righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Righteousness means a state of right standing in Christ Jesus. Peace is when you are in a state of calm regardless of circumstance. Joy is a state of contentment always, nothing takes away from your joy and you always see a better tomorrow. Eternal life should be a believer’s physical and emotional reality. A person who has eternal life is the one who will taste as salt and shine as light in all circumstances and situations such that you can do all things. Joseph manifested eternal life in every sphere of life. Joseph was aware of his righteousness, he had the peace of God and he never lost his joy such that he was able to recognise the sad countenance of others.

Favour is a response to the life you carry. If you desire favour, make sure you manifest righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

2 Cor 2:14

When you carry eternal life, you do not look like your challenges, rather you radiate the life of God within you.

Acts 6:12; 2 Tim 3:2

Unity is sustained when Christ is at the centre i.e. when we experience Christ and He remains our focus. However, when man is at the centre, then comes competition and comparison. Beware of the idolatry of this age, which is SELF.

When you find yourself undermining people, understand that your focus is in the wrong place. If your focus is on Christ, you will realise that you are also imperfect, beware! The unity of the Saint is that we progress together not the mentality that “I am better than my neighbour”.

Luk 10:27; 1 John 4: 20-21; John 13:35; Acts 2:44-45

Eternal life should be accessed and infused corporately. The blessing of God is to flow and influence others. How you show God you love Him reflects on how you treat your neighbour. You are too small to contain the blessing of God alone, it must be infused corporately to the “body of Christ”.

Gen 11:1, 6, 9; Eph 3:8-9

Unity creates the capacity for possibility. Our God is inclusive. The Language is one directional. Eternal life is to constantly access and infuse God's pattern for life and living into homes, marriages, career, ministry, family, community, business, government etc. When the church is of one-mind (one language), then nothing that we put our heart and mind to do will be impossible. The riches of Christ is unlimited supply for every deficit in the life of anyone that desires to access it. Every time we come together as a united church, we can produce so much more beyond individual capacity.

As we begin a new year in 2019, determine to live an eternal life that flows to others. The liberal soul will be made fat!
